We are seeking an Assistant Pastry Chef to join our dynamic team and assist in crafting exquisite desserts that match our commitment to quality and creativity. Responsibilities: Creating and executing high-quality desserts and pastries. Ensure consistency, presentation, and flavor profiles meet the restaurant’s high standards. Oversee day-to-day pastry kitchen operations, including mise en place, production, and plating. Monitor ingredient quality and inventory, ensuring proper storage and rotation. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations (LA County Health Department and ServSafe standards). Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume fine dining environment. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop seasonal and special event dessert menus. Requirements: 2+ years of pastry experience in a high-end or fine-dining restaurant. Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, chocolate work, laminated doughs, and plated desserts. Culinary degree or formal pastry training preferred. ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain one. Understanding of food costing, portion control, and waste reduction. Excellent time management, organization, and leadership skills. Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
